Results of the Handicap Tournaments - 2009/10
Mixed Tournament
There was a single group of 5 pairs and a decision was made to play a final between the top two pairs. All matches were best-of-three with no setting.
Most of the matches were pretty close with 5 out of 10 going to a 3rd-game decider. A last-minute injury led to a scratch pairing of Holly and JJ which with hindsight was probably slightly under-handicapped but by the end they were getting better, going to a deciding game in each of their last 2 matches.
The tournament was won by Paul and Angela in a tight 3-game final against Lindsey and Jane. Had Sandy and Lester won their last group match then they would have made the final, so it was all very close.

Ladies Doubles Tournament
Sadly there were not enough entries to run this tournament.
Mens Doubles Tournament
As in the Mixed tournament, their were some incredibly close matches. A late entry meant that 6 pairs contested the tournament and again a final was played between the top two group pairings.
Francis and Chris won the group winning all of their matches, but were beaten in a nail-biting final by Adrian and Dave.
